  1. how to help your eyelashes stay curled: put a hairdryer on the hottest setting and blow hot air on the eyelash curler for 5-8 seconds. place the lash curler on the back of your hand to make sure it’s not too hot before applying it…

Anonymous said: due to the fact this might come across really creepy, i'm asking this on anon. Anway *clears throat* um so I was looking through your pictures and I really like your hair and I kinda wanted to see pictures of the different hairstyles you use? I'm getting hair extensions soon and since you have long hair I thought maybe you could give me a few pointers as well as give me inspiration for hair styles

thominos:

Oh uh, yeah man, why not? :)

Before we get started, you’re going to need a few things. (I have linked to the exact products/curlers I use if you’re confused on what you need.)

1. A straightener (I couldn’t find the one I use, but you HAVE to use a skinny straightener, don’t try any of the curls that need a straightener with a wide straightener)

2. A wand

3. Bobby Pins (I’m trusting that everyone knows what bobby pins are)

4. Pony Tails (I’m also trusting that everyone knows what pony tails are)

5. Hair Clip (the above is valid here^^)

5. Hair Spray

6. Finishing Paste

7. Heat Protectant

A few hairstyles I use a lot are as follows:

Alright, now that we have an idea of how each hairstyle is suppose to look, lets get down to how you create these hair styles:

Straight:

My hair is natural straight, not as straight as in the picture, but pretty damn close. To get my hair as straight as in the picture, I:

  1. Sprayed heat protectant in my hair. Your hair does NOT need to be wet when you put in the heat protectant, but it also doesn’t have to be dry.
  2. I blow dried it (because it was wet. If your hair is already dry when you want this hairstyle, you don’t have to blow dry it.)
  3. Then I took a straightener to it. I did not section off my hair and straighten every single strand, but that’s because my hair is already pretty straight. Instead, I just ran it over my hair a few times, zeroing in on the strands that weren’t completely straight.
  4. If you already have naturally curly hair, you most likely already know how to straighten your hair, but if not, I’d suggest sectioning off your hair. But hey, it’s up to you.

Wand-Curly:

There are several different ways you can curl your hair with the wand, and I personally have about like 234134 different hairstyles that I use the wand for, but for this posts’ purpose, I have decided on the two above^

(If you don’t see a difference, just know that there is a HUGE difference in creating these different curls)

For the First one:

  1. Put in heat protectant in. (This is the most important if you want healthy hair)
  2. I don’t section my hair at all for the first one.
  3. I start out with my hair straight (so if you have naturally curly hair I would suggest straightening it before this.)
  4. Part your hair to a side that’s most comfortable for you. Whether it be your hair parted to the left, right, or center.
  5. Now, while following your part, separate your hair at the back and pull the separated hairs over your shoulder.
  6. You should now have your hair separated in two.
  7. OK so - next you wanna go to your part again, but this time at the top of your head. Pick the side of your head that you want to curl first (left or right) and put place your finger over your part. You’re going to place your finger at where your part starts, and then go about one inch down your part (your finger will be sliding across your part) When you’ve moved your finger about an inch down your part, you are then going to move your finger directly DOWN so that your finger is dipping into your hair. You’re going to keep doing this until your finger reaches your neck and about one inch of your hair is separated from the rest of the section.
  8. Curl that one inch worth of hair for about 10-20 secs
  9. Repeat^
  10. Do the same for the other side.
  11. When you’re done, you’re going to put in finishing paste. To do this you wanna gather just a little on your finger tips and then smear it on your palms like you would for lotion (but not actually like lotion, so don’t start rubbing it on the backs of your hands)
  12. Once you have the finishing paste in your hands, you’re going to flip your hair upside down in front of you, and scrunch it from the bottom upwards towards your scalp.
  13. Do this until you’ve covered all your hair - this will define the curls and help them stick around longer.
  14. Hair spray it when you’re done - optional

For the Second one:

  1. Luckily, this one is far less complicated.
  2. Put in heat protectant!
  3. Straighten your hair beforehand if you have naturally curly hair.
  4. You ARE going to section your hair for this one, which is where the pony tail and hair clip come in.
  5. Make sure each section you leave down is small, you wanna have really curly hair for this so that’ll help.
  6. Once you have it sectioned, you’re going to take about an inch of hair and curl it for about 10-15
  7. put your curled hair in a pony tail so that when you let down the straight hair it doesn’t get mixed in the curled.
  8. Repeat steps 6&7 for the rest of the sections.
  9. When you’re done, you’re going to put in finishing paste. To do this you wanna gather just a little on your finger tips and then smear it on your palms like you would for lotion (but not actually like lotion, so don’t start rubbing it on the backs of your hands)
  10. Once you have the finishing paste in your hands, you’re going to flip your hair upside down in front of you, and scrunch it from the bottom upwards towards your scalp.
  11. Do this until you’ve covered all your hair - this will define the curls and help them stick around longer.
  12. Hair spray it when you’re done - optional

Straightener-Curly:

  1. Put in heat protectant!
  2. Don’t straighten your hair before hand! Even if you have curly hair, the straightener will not curl your hair if it’s already been straightened. Trust me, this hairstyle will still work even if you go into it with your naturally curly hair.
  3. Section your hair.
  4. Take about 2 inches of your hair and curl it.
  5. How you curl it: You’re going to clamp down the straightener on the beginning of the 2inch hair you’ve grabbed (up by the roots, not at the end) Then you’re going to twist it upwards twice, wrapping the hair around your curler as you do that so when you pull the straightener down it’s pulling down towards your open hair.
  6. Repeat that on all sections.
  7. When you’re done, you’re going to put in finishing paste. To do this you wanna gather just a little on your finger tips and then smear it on your palms like you would for lotion (but not actually like lotion, so don’t start rubbing it on the backs of your hands)
  8. Once you have the finishing paste in your hands, you’re going to flip your hair upside down in front of you, and scrunch it from the bottom upwards towards your scalp.
  9. Do this until you’ve covered all your hair - this will define the curls and help them stick around longer.
  10. Hair spray it when you’re done - optional

Lazy Pony-Tail:

  1. I used a scrunchie for this, but you can use just a regular pony tail.
  2. Gather your hair behind your head, and tie it in a pony tail so that it’s resting against your neck/back.
  3. Then you’re going to grab it at the top of the pony tail (on the outside of the pony tie) and then you’re going to pull it up and out until it’s lifted like above.

Bun-Braid:

  1. You’re going to section your hair in two parts, but instead of down the back of your head, you are going to section it across the side of your head. (So basically from one ear to the next ear, so that you have a pony tail for one section and “bangs” for the other section)
  2. Next you’re going to actually going to put your pony tail section IN a pony tail. (Make sure it’s in the middle - meaning not to the side and not laying against your neck, make it CENTERED)
  3. For the next section, you’re going to wanna seperate your bangs (but you don’t have to.
  4. Then, with the part that you’ve seperated your bangs out of, you’re going to french braid.
  5. Start the french braid from one ear and then braid it up and over your head until you reach the other ear, and then keep braiding until the end of the hair.
  6. Going back to your pony tail, you’re going to seperate it into two different sections, and then braid all both sections (just a simple, easy 3 strand braid)
  7. You should end up having two braids at the back of your head and one crossing your head on top.
  8. Next, you’re going to need the bobby pins.
  9. Take the end of the braid that crosses your head, and wrap it around the pony tail in the back (if it doesn’t reach I’ll tell you what to do at the end.
  10. Take the two braids and wrap one around the pony tail as well, then take the other one and ALSO wrap it around it.
  11. Take the bobby pins to secure the braids and make sure they don’t move.
  12. ****If the braid across your head doesn’t reach the pony tail, just bobby pin it to the side to make it look like it does above^

Multiple-Braids:

  1. this one is pretty simple if you know how to braid.( the only difficult thing that you need to to is french braid your bangs.)
  2. MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE JUST GOTTEN OUT OF THE SHOWER AND YOUR HAIR IS /WET/ WHEN YOU ATTEMPT THIS.
  3. you’re going to start out by sectioning your hair, and then taking about 2in of hair and braiding it.
  4. Continue this until you have braids all OVER your head (like above)
  5. Sleep with your hair like that, it should be DRY and READY when you wake up.
  6. Take the braids out.
  7. You can run your hands through it if it’s a little TOO frizzy (this is kind of a tricky hair style to attempt, make sure that you aren’t going somewhere important when you test it, because chances are it won’t work for everyone.)

French-Braid curls:

  1. French braid your hair when you get out of the shower.
  2. Sleep with it like that.
  3. Take it out in the morning
  4. Put in finishing paste (I explain how to do this in wand-curly and straightener-curly)

Shower-Bun Curls:

  1. Basically, you’re going to put your hair in a bun a while after you get out of the shower, so your hair is DAMP but NOT (I REPEAT: NOT) WET. If it’s too wet, it wont be dry by morning.
  2. Gather your hair together at the top of your hair and put it in a SERIOUSLY messy bun.
  3. Take it out in the morning and it should look like above!
  4. As another option, you can use your wand to curl strands that haven’t curled. (Make sure you put in heat protectant if you choose to do this)

________

*Wipes sweat from my brow* man that was seriously long - holy shit man.

To finish this off, I’m going to give you a few tips on how I have personally kept my hair really healthy.

  1. DON’T WASH YOUR HAIR EVERY DAY
  2. DON’T EVEN WASH IT EVERY OTHER DAY IF YOU CAN MANAGE IT
  3. The natural oils HELP YOUR HAIR. TRUST ME ON THIS.
  4. While I say don’t wash your hair everyday, it’s also important not to go like 20 days without washing your hair.
  5. Wash your hair on like, the 3rd day and you’ll be golden.
  6. When you DO wash your hair, give yourself a little scalp massage! Really get in there with your fingers and massage the crap out of your scalp - It’ll help, trust trust TRUST me.
  7. Make sure that you wash out the shampoo/conditioner REALLY well.
  8. ALWAYS USE HEAT PROTECTANT WHEN YOU’RE GOING TO BLOWDRY/STRAIGHTEN/CURL/CRIMP/ECT YOUR HAIR. This prevents heat damage and split ends. Because of this, your hair will not only grow longer FASTER but it’ll stay healthy longer and you won’t have to go cut off your dead ends.
  9. I personally have never dyed/highlighted my hair, and I won’t lie that’s why my hair grows so fast and is so thick/healthy.
  10. BUT don’t worry if you DO dye your hair! You can still have healthy/thick/ hair! :D
  11. What you wanna do is make sure that when you get it dyed, instead of using bleach make sure that you either use or ask the hairstylist to use luminescence, it’ll make all the difference in the world.
  12. Just - basically ask for the expensive shit when you wanna dye your hair, TREAT YOSELF. YOU DESERVE IT. And your hair will love and appreciate it, trust me.
  13. Did you know that braiding your hair helps it grow faster? No? Well it does. Heck yeah.
  14. Brushing/combing your hair helps your hair as well, keeps it thick and/healthy. (be gentle though, don’t just RIP your tangles out with the brush. That’s a huge no. be gentle. tease it. tease your hair.)
  15. Take biotin if you can afford it! I don’t take it personally, but a ton of my friends use it and they say it’s awesome. (I’d advise you to ask your doctor before using it though, it might have some wacky side effects)
  16. VITAMINS ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND EVER.

That’s all I got babe!

Hope this helps!
